The Boeing 777 is a long-range wide-body twin-engine jet airliner. The "triple seven", as it is commonly referred to, is distinguishable by its large diameter turbofan engines, long raked wings, and circular fuselage. As the next generation aircraft from the 767 and 747 wide-body aircraft, the 777 is Boeing’s first fly-by-wire aircraft using a computer-aided design feature. The ER stands for "extended range". which is 33.25 ft (10.1 m) longer than the 200. American Airlines currently operates 20 777-300 ER aircraft configured with 304 seats.
