Limited One Year Warranty

The Model Shop warrants this model against defects in material or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase. During this warranty period, The Model Shop will repair the defect or replace the defective part or model, at our option, without charge to you for parts or labor.

1. Scope of Coverage

This warranty is strictly non-transferable and extends exclusively to:

  • The Original Purchaser: The individual or corporate entity who directly placed and paid for the order through The Model Shop storefront.

  • The Intended Gift Recipient: In cases where a model is explicitly purchased as a gift or a direct corporate presentation piece, the warranty will be honored for the original, initial recipient of that new delivery.

Aftermarket Exclusion: This warranty does not follow the physical asset through secondary sales, online auctions, or peer-to-peer transfers. If a model is resold, traded, or transferred to a secondary owner within its first year, the warranty is immediately voided. The Model Shop will only service claims initiated by the original buyer or verified initial gift recipient.

2. Exclusions from Coverage

This warranty strictly does not cover:

  • Damage resulting from improper handling, accidental drops, or neglect.

  • Environmental damage caused by exposure to extreme temperatures, direct prolonged sunlight/UV rays, high humidity, or moisture.

  • Unauthorized modifications, alterations, or repairs attempted by anyone outside of our facility.

  • Normal wear and tear over time.

3. Warranty Service Claims Procedure

If a manufacturing defect reveals itself under normal, proper handling conditions within the one-year window, please follow these steps:

  1. Initiate a Claim: Contact our support team directly at themodelshop@pacmin.com with your original order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photographs documenting the defect.

  2. Assessment: Our engineering and production team will review the documentation to determine the most effective method of restoration (e.g., shipping a replacement component, providing specialized repair instructions, or bringing the model back to our workshop).

  3. Return Authorization (RMA): If the model must be returned to our workshop for repair, we will provide a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number. Do not ship any items to our facility without an active RMA number. The Model Shop will coordinate and cover the transit logistics for verified warranty repairs.

4. Remedy Limitations & Discretionary Refunds

  • Primary Remedies: The sole and primary remedy under this warranty is the physical repair or replacement of the defective component or asset as determined by our workshop.

  • Discretionary Refunds: In the event that a verified manufacturing defect cannot be reasonably repaired, or a replacement component/model can no longer be fabricated (e.g., due to discontinued molds or finite material runs), The Model Shop reserves the absolute right at our sole discretion to issue a partial or full refund of the purchase price as a final resolution.

  • No Automatic Entitlement: The inclusion of a discretionary refund option does not entitle the Buyer to demand a cash refund or open a payment dispute. A refund will only be considered after our production team has evaluated the asset and determined that physical repair or component replacement is impossible.
