In addition to our regularly available models, we produce Limited Edition aircraft models through exclusive, officially licensed production runs. Each release follows a transparent preorder process and is produced once, never to be reissued.
How It Works
Each Limited Edition begins as a proposed model. A 2D rendering is published on the site, and our newsletter and social media subscribers are notified when the preorder window opens.
Preorders are accepted for a defined period of time during which a minimum quantity must be met.

If the minimum is met, all orders placed during the preorder window are fulfilled.
Production typically takes 8–10 weeks. -
If the minimum is not met, all funds are fully refunded and the model is not produced.
Production Details
Every Limited Edition model includes production information permanently recorded on the bottom of the Airfoilâ„¢ base, documenting:

After Production
Once a Limited Edition has completed production, it is no longer offered through The Model Shop. The product listing is moved to the Limited Edition Archive.
Archived models are not available for purchase and serve as a historical record of past releases.
PLEASE NOTE:Â Limited Edition models are made-to-order and are not eligible for the standard 30-day return policy. They are still covered by our one-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
