Refund policy

Thank you for shopping at The Model Shop. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help. Please review our specific policies regarding standard storefront items, custom fabrications, and limited edition releases.

1. Returns & Refunds (Standard Storefront Items Only)

Unless otherwise noted as a final sale, standard off-the-shelf storefront items are eligible for a return or exchange within 30 days from the original purchase date.

  • Condition Requirements: To be eligible for a return, your item must be completely unused, in the same pristine condition that you received it, and secured in its original packaging.

  • RMA Requirement: You must contact us at themodelshop@pacmin.com to receive a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number before shipping any items back. We strictly cannot process, credit, or accept any products returned to our facility without an active, authorized RMA number.

  • Refund Processing: All approved credits will be issued directly to the original payment method used to place the order. Please retain your original digital receipt for your records.

2. Ineligible Items: Custom, Made-to-Order, & Limited Editions

Because custom exhibits, 1:50 scale models, made-to-order pieces, and Limited Edition/serialized releases involve immediate resource allocation, custom engineering, or finite inventory capping, they are completely ineligible for returns, refunds, exchanges, or cancellations.

  • All Sales Final: Once an order for a custom, made-to-order, or limited edition item is placed and payment is processed, the sale is strictly final.

  • No Mid-Production Cancellations: Orders for these items cannot be canceled, revoked, or amended at any point during the active production or allocation cycle. The Buyer assumes full financial responsibility for the completion of the commissioned piece.

  • Our Quality Guarantee: While custom builds cannot be canceled or returned, your investment is fully protected. Every custom exhibit and limited edition model we produce is backed by our comprehensive One-Year Product Warranty against manufacturing defects.

3. Shipping Fees & Return Shipping Logistics

  • Standard Return Costs: Original shipping and handling fees are non-refundable. Customers assume full financial responsibility for all return shipping costs and logistics.

  • Shipping Protections: When returning an item, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. The Model Shop does not guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and we cannot issue refunds for items lost or damaged in transit back to our facility.

  • Merchant Error / Shipping Damage: If an item arrives defective, damaged in transit, or is the incorrect item due to a fulfillment error on our part, please contact us immediately. In these specific instances, If applicable to the situation, The Model Shop will issue a pre-paid mailing label to retrieve the merchandise and coordinate a replacement or appropriate resolution. We cannot accept or reimburse standard C.O.D. shipping charges.

4. International Refusals, Duties, and Taxes

For all international shipments, the buyer is entirely responsible for paying any and all local import duties, tariffs, and taxes applied by their country's customs agency.

If an international shipment is refused by the buyer due to unpaid customs fees, or is abandoned due to a failure to clear local customs, the buyer will be held strictly responsible for all original shipping fees, return shipment logistics costs, and any associated custom house penalties incurred by The Model Shop.

5. Authorized Return Address

Once you have secured an approved RMA number from our support team, please clearly display the RMA number on the exterior of your package and mail it to:
