Airbus introduced the A-321 is a stretch fuselage making it the largest variant of the A-320 series.  It is a short to medium-range, narrow-body, single-aisle, a commercial airliner with seating configurations up to 236 passengers.  American operates 97 A-321s.  Later versions included winglets.
